Scenic Adventure: Alpine Desert Road

Time away is about enjoying the simple things in life. Eat, rest, get active, have a bit of family fun. October 27, 2008 is Labour Day, a public holday in NZ, we opted to take a road trip to TAUPO, a tranquil little town in the North Island. The locals love this place because of its relaxed pace of life.

(9:16AM) On our way to Taupo, we passed by the back country road of Tongariro. Along the way you will see volcanic landscapes of Mt. Ruapeho, home to NZ's largest ski areas.

live, breathe and experience NZ!

hi gem! now i know why you are into photography. your photos speak for themselves. you're lucky to have a backdrop that is scenic and tranquil. you may not be in our world - the hustle bustle - but you have everything to thank for. from where you are, i am almost definite, things are a lot better. enjoy the best things in life, gem, - family and time to spend with people who matter the most. sometimes it's hard to realize that when you are in a constant spin. it is only when we pause and take a moment that we get to see things clearly. best of luck . . .

thanks mate for your comment here. indeed am not gifted with the talent in writing and my missive is just enough for me to be able to express my thoughts. it's been my passion in photography and given this window of opportunity to do it is really awesome. And I believe, as they say "God has reasons for everything under the heavens". The place is lovely - very scenic and tanquil but it's really the time we spent together that makes it so special . . .
